Linyi is in the southeast region of Shandong province. The largest prefecture-level city in Shandong, Linyi borders Rizhao to the east, Zibo to the north, Tai'an to the northwest, Jining to the west, and the province of Jiangsu to the south. It is also a famous cultural city with a 2400-year history. In the 1970s, the Sunzi's Art of War and Sunbin's Art of War that stirred the world were unearthed here. It is a place propitious for giving birth to great man, Zhuge Liang(諸葛亮), the well-known politician and strategist of the Three Kingdoms Period(三國時代), and Wang Xizhi(王羲之), the famous calligrapher in the Eastern Jin Dynasty(東晉朝代) were all born here.
As a new developing modern city, Linyi has perfect infrastructure and complete city function. Yanzhou-Shijiusuo Railway at the east section of 'Eurasian Continental Bridge' runs across Linyi City from east to west; Beijing-Shanghai Expressway passes the city from north to south. It's very convenient for marine transportation for its location adjoining to Qingdao, Rizhao and Lianyungang ports.
【臨沂簡介】 蒙山高，沂水長，沂蒙山區好地方。素以沂蒙山區而著稱的山東省臨沂市，位于山東省東南部，轄三區九縣，面積1.72萬平方公里，人口1000萬，是山東省面積最大、人口最多的行政區。
臨沂市融北國的粗獷風光與南國的魚米之鄉風韻于一體，是一個旅遊資源大市，自然風光秀美，人文景觀眾多。北部是綿延起伏的群山，中部是逶迤的丘陵，南部是一望無際的沖積平原。
北部的蒙山，以“天然氧吧”、“養生長壽”而聞名，橫亙數百里，七十二主峰、三十六洞天，集險、奧、幽、曠、奇、雄、秀于一體，遙對泰山，雄奇壯美。蜿蜒的沂河，如鑲嵌的玉帶，縱貫全境，充滿靈氣。 南部的臨郯蒼大平原，沃野萬頃，稻花飄香。費縣奇石千姿百態，園林石妙趣橫生，堪稱我國石林瑰寶。沂水天然地下畫廊、山東地下大峽谷洞奇水幽，沂蒙之春，草長鶯飛﹔沂蒙金秋，碩果纍纍，稻穀飄香。
After 3.5 hours bus ride, we arrived at the City of Linyi.
Our local guide had arranged lunch for us at "Yiran Restaurant". 
From here on, our tasting experience switched from southern-style dishes to the northern-style cooking. The major difference - Rice was replaced by Pasta, i.e., pancakes, dumplings, buns and noodles. 山東人愛吃煎餅，把煎餅當作食文化的一種藝術來展示。 山東人把煎餅當作主食，特別是農村，幾乎家家戶戶隔幾天就要攤一大摞子薄薄的煎餅，夠吃個十天八天的。
And most restaurants we visited were equipped with Disply Row of Dish Samples for guests to pick their preferences. 
This was my favorite Dish: sweet and crunchy river shrimps wrapped in Shandong pancake was a perfect match for my taste bud.
Now this dish is definitely NOT for the Weak of Heart to enjoy:

全程陪伴，為我們張羅一切的劉總，是位熱誠直率的淮安人。他的工作能力超強，親和力沒話說，幽默感更是一流，大家都喜歡他。不過他的普通話發音有個小不足，就是分不清 H 和 F 兩個音。『花生』唸成『發生』 而 『發財』唸成『花材』。愛捉狹的我，逮到機會，即興寫了一首打油詩讓他大聲唸﹕ 【毛文華的頭髮黃；黃頭髮上戴紅花﹔花紅髮黃美文華；髮紅花黃非文華。】 一連串的H和F兩個音，劉總唸得結結巴巴，一臉痛苦，逗得我們笑聲連連。
說到方言，劉總提到一則往事。他年輕時曾經人介紹一位小姐交往，倆人感覺良好。直到一天，花前月下，倆情相悅時，女的含情脈脈的對著他說﹕“嗯，咿﹏﹏你﹗”頓時令他雞皮疙瘩掉滿地，立刻打了退堂鼓。敘說這段故事時，劉總瞪眼皺鼻，捏著喉音學出那句“嗯，咿﹏﹏你﹗”(方言的"我愛你")笑果驚人，大夥全抱著肚子笑叉了氣!
自高速公路出來到了臨沂，劉總打電話跟當地的導遊小姐聯繫，聽說她在《蘭花市場》前等我們。于是一路找標誌，問了路人也說沒聽過附近有什麼蘭花市場。折騰了半天，眼前出現了好大的路標﹕《魯南花卉市場》。原來是劉總把《南花市場》誤解成《蘭花市場》，難怪遍尋不及! 看來他不只分不清 H 和 F 兩音，連 N 和 L 音也有問題了?
