China Gourmet Trip (16) - 9/27 To Linyi 往臨沂

Thursday, 9/27/07 - At 8:00 AM, we met with Director Zhu as her guests to a very tasty breakfast treat. The table was filled with a vast variety of goodies and we all agreed that it was the Best Breakfast throughout our Gourmet Trip.

【淮安特產﹕鼓樓茶"食散"子】 茶"食散"子是淮安土特產之一，相傳於清朝晚期就生產了，已有一百多年的歷史。它是用上等白精麵，拉出像麻線一樣的細麵絲繞成四寸多長、一寸多寬的套環。然後，環環相連，呈現梳狀、菊花形等網狀圖案，再放入油鍋中炸成，質地酥脆，味道香美。

After breakfast, we left Huai'an, Jiangsu Province for our next stop: City of Linyi in Shandong Province. While I was watching the close-call excitement on the highway, some in our group were napping happily in the car.....
