Our plan for the day was shopping and meeting friends in Shanghai.
For lunch, we met with Shirley's friends, Miao and her assistant, at "Chamate"(一茶一坐)restaurant in Xu Jia Hui.

The restaurant had an odd rule of "no camera pictures allowed" inside, so I put my camera away - The ONLY time I did so during my entire trip! However, Miao managed to use her cell phone and took a few quick shots of our food for me. I guess when there is a will there is a way :) Actually, the dishes were quite ordinary, so I don't understand why they didn't let people take photos.

We spent the rest of the afternoon on more shopping, then it was time to visit with my friends Steve and Yvonne. We took the subway again and got off at Lu Jia Zui(浦東陸家嘴). Located in Pudong, Lu Jia Zui Financial and Trade Zone is on the other side of Huangpu River, opposite of the famous Bund(外灘) in Shanghai. Some landmark buildings and well-known scenic spots are located nearby, i.e., Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV & Radio Tower, Jinmao Tower, Shanghai International Convention Center, etc.

By the time we got off the Metro station at Lu Jia Zui, it was getting dark, Steve and Yvonne came by car and took us to their home.

Their home located on the 61st Floor of a grand condominium building, the view from their bay window was just spectacular! With my amateur skills, I tried to capture some views of the Bund from their window:
