After our morning exploration, we took the Shanghai Metro subway to one of the famed shopping areas in Shanghai - Nanjing Road Pedestrian Mall.

有「中華商業第一街」之譽的上海南京路，東起外灘，西至靜安寺，全長五點五公里，穿越二十六條馬路，雲集著六百多家各式各樣的商店。各種專門店、外國餐廳、電影院林立兩側，商品琳琅滿目，應有盡有，每日客流量在一百萬人次以上，是上海最集中的旅遊購物區，自古就有「十里洋場」美譽。 放眼望去，步行街上，彩色的鋪路磚石、統一的路心售貨亭、兩邊各類時尚流行商店、熙熙攘攘的人群、可愛的觀光小火車，以及現代設計的雕塑，這些都構成了上海的現代都市風景。到了夜晚，步行街上，華燈閃爍，流光溢彩，景色分外迷人，已成為上海一處亮麗的城市新景觀。
For dinner options, we took the gate security officer's advice and tried a local family restaurant - "Xin Jia Yuan". It was only a 10-minute's walk from the apartment and we ordered 4 dishes from the menu, they tasted surprisingly good. The portions were large as well and we had plenty leftovers to take home. 
The best part was the bill at the end of our meal.....it came to a total of 80 RMB (approximately 10 USD), what a bargain indeed!!!
